Every January, we host a special yoga challenge to help families and classrooms create the healthy habit of introducing yoga into their daily lives. If you want to kick start a regular yoga practice, you don’t need to wait until January to start your own challenge.

How does a yoga challenge work?

  • For one month, try practicing yoga every day with your kids or students, either a pose a day or a longer routine.
  • Mark off the days you did yoga on a printable calendar (here’s a free one we like).
  • Reap the benefits. See how doing a little yoga every day can make you and your kids grow stronger, calmer and more resilient to all that is happening in the world around you.

3 Tips to Rock Your Monthly Family Yoga Challenge

1. Maybe you want to get started doing yoga but aren’t sure where to start. Keep it simple by following along with this five minute video.

2. Some days, you may feel like you don’t even have five minutes to spare and that’s okay. All the matters is that your family does a few simple poses together, focus on your breathing, and relax. Try some of our quick pose videos, or page through a favorite kids’ yoga book for ideas.
