Chinese New Year celebrates the beginning of a new year based on the traditional Chinese calendar, in which each year is represented by an animal. Chinese New Year is a fun holiday to celebrate with kids!

2023 is the Year of the Rabbit and begins on January 22nd. Legend has it that people born in 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, and 1963 have similar traits to the Rabbit. For example, people born in the year of the rabbit generally prefer not to pick fights; instead they try to figure out the best way to problem solve, in the same way a rabbit prefers to hop away or freeze when threatened.

Try Rabbit pose this New Year, and gain strength by staying still and calm, no matter what is confronting you.  This is a great skill to teach children!
